The Nablus Chamber of Commerce organized a training workshop on food safety in collaboration with the "Monshati" platform and the Palestinian Food and Agricultural Industries Union (PFAIU).

The Nablus Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a training workshop titled "Introduction to Food Manufacturing and Food Safety" as part of the activities of the "Monshati" project in the chamber, in cooperation with the PFAIU.

The workshop comes within the vision of the partners for MSMEs, highlighting the importance of developing and sustaining these enterprises as they are considered a lever for the national economy. The Technical and Administrative Assistant in the "Monshati" project at the Chamber, Mr. Diaa Qadomi, inaugurated the workshop.

He emphasized the importance of the training workshop in response to the needs expressed by the participants, aiming to meet their needs by enriching scientific and practical knowledge in food safety and quality. The quality and food safety systems consultant, Mr. Hammam Qarawi from the “Basko” company, lectured at the workshop. The workshop covered clarification of the main concepts of the processes used in the food industry, explanation of the concept of quality and good manufacturing practices, clarification of the importance and concept of food safety, introduction to the appropriate environment required for manufacturing safe food, and definition of the health and occupational safety conditions that must be provided and adhered to.

The workshop witnessed extensive discussions between the participants and the lecturer on some of the issues, ideas, and information presented, aiming to enhance understanding and inquire about details.

The workshop commenced on December 8, 2021, and lasted for two days, with a total of 10 training hours and the participation of 12 participants from food manufacturing enterprises.
